On March 7, 2017, the Experts for Security and Global Affairs Association (ESGA) has organized the debate ”Russian Domestic Politics Perspectives for Stagnation or Change during Putin’s Last Presidential Term”, having invited as a guest speaker Mr. Andrei Kolesnikov, Senior Associate, Carnegie Moscow Center. Maria Domanska, Senior Fellow Russian Department, the Center for Eastern Studies (OSW), Warsaw joined the event by Skype. The debate was moderated by Assoc. Prof, Dr. Liliana Popescu, Faculty of Political Science, National University for Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest.

This was the first event in the project “Dialogues with Russia for a new generation of experts”, in which ESGA aims to engage the young generation of experts proactively in the efforts oriented on setting a new agenda for the dialogue with Russia and to encourage the participation into public debates.
During the second panel of the event, the participants had the opportunity to discuss different issues related to the Russian domestic politics during Putin’s last presidential term, using the OSM (Open Space Method). The OSM was chosen to ensure a truly participative working process where the participants can introduce and improve their knowledge, topics and ideas.
The event was organized within the project “Dialogues with Russia for a new generation of experts.”
